At Efeca, we are proud to be sponsoring a local artist as part of our commitment to support emerging talent in Dorset. We provided this sponsorship in 2025 to celebrate the creativity, dedication, and potential of young people pursuing careers in the arts. Nurturing local talent contributes to our community’s culture, and encourages innovation, confidence and opportunities for the next generation.
Annika Hart is a mixed media artist based in Dorset. She enjoys working with a variety of media, but painting and drawing are her preferred methods of expression. Although she often works with still life and landscape in her art, she also produces portrait work.
Annika has sold a range of original pieces, prints, and commissioned work to private clients and through exhibitions such as the Winter Exhibition at Jubilee Hall, Poundbury, which Annika has exhibited at on multiple occasions. Her work has also been displayed and sold in local shops to members of the public.
Her artistic achievements have been acknowledged through various competitions, such as Art in Poundbury, Art in the Square, Art in the Park, and the David Chaffey Award. The David Chaffey Award is an accolade recognising excellence in product design, which Annika received for a handcrafted 3D popup book about British wildlife; a project that aligns with her pursuit of combining artistic practice with exploratory design. After a gap year, Annika will begin studying Architecture in London this September at Kingston University, and she hopes to explore her interest in art, design, and the built environment further.
We provided Annika with £250 in vouchers for a local art shop to help fund materials, and we will also be running a social media campaign to showcase her work and celebrate her creative achievements, visit our Instagram page! We’re proud to have played a small part in supporting Annika’s journey and look forward to seeing how her creativity continues to flourish.
