Efeca publishes comparison of Palm Oil Standards
Efeca published a comparison of the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil Standard, Malaysian Palm Oil Standard, and Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil Standard in March, as part of our work for the Central Point of Expertise on Timber helping organisations to source sustainable palm oil. These standards, which have been developed to ensure sustainability in palm oil cultivation and supply chains, vary in their environmental and social criteria, as well as compliance procedures.
While the principles and criteria are structured differently across the standards, they cover a similar set of general themes: legality, environmental responsibilities, social responsibilities, and business practices.
