Join our team as a Principal Consultant, put zero deforestation policy into action

We are looking for a motivated Senior/Principal Consultant to support leading public and private sector clients on responsible sourcing of forest and deforestation related commodities including biomass, timber, palm oil, soya and cocoa. You will be expected to work with our expanding and dynamic team of experts to support and expand our client base which includes DFID, Defra, European Commission, Bank of England, RSPO, FSC, PEFC, Unilever, Kingfisher Plc, Sky and Samsung Electronics.

Who are we?

Efeca is a small dynamic natural resources consultancy firm based in Dorset, UK, with an expanding global programme of work, relating to environment, climate and economics for the sustainable trade and use of natural resources. We work with a range of clients across public, private and NGO sectors, in both producer and buyer countries. We have helped and advised governments and donor agencies to implement legislative requirements whilst supporting buyers and their suppliers to meet these and other market requirements.

What the role entails?

Across commodities you will provide senior technical expertise including, but not limited to, sustainability and regulatory strategy development and implementation, including those focused on tackling deforestation. You will lead the delivery of client support in a number of areas including client programme and policy development, compliance and performance management to include gap assessments and supply chain mapping and overseeing policy implementation and verification through leading data assurance activities. You will also need to support clients through leading training and capacity development and will represent Efeca during facilitation and speaking at key stakeholder events.

The role is based in Bournemouth, Dorset, and would also involve regular national and international travel.
